Undergraduate Program

At Clark Atlanta University, we continue to celebrate the heritage of two of the nation's most outstanding historically black institutions. In 1992, Money magazine ranked Clark Atlanta as one of the 10 best values for the money among historically black colleges and universities.

In 1993, Clark Atlanta ranked third in the nation among Historically Black Colleges and Universities as the school of preference to send SAT scores. In 1996, CAU was ranked in Business Week's Magazine, as one of the best colleges and universities. Clark Atlanta undergraduate students number approximately 4,200 men and women from 44 states, and 48 countries. Approximately fifty-seven percent of Clark Atlanta's students are from the South. 
 Clark Atlanta University (CAU) students have an enormous educational, cultural and social advantage through the University's participation as a member of the Atlanta University Center (AUC)- the largest consortium of historically black colleges and universities in the world.

Other important components of the undergraduate program are student participation in internships and foreign exchanges. Students receive credit for either experience. 
 
FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM OUTLINES
 
 
The Program confers the Bachelor of Arts degree in two areas: Business Administration and Accounting. Business Administration majors study in a broad cross section of business fundamentals which prepares them for specialized studies in their junior and senior years in one or more of the following areas of concentration: accounting, finance, international business, management and marketing. In addition to the University's General Education requirements, students take specific courses for each degree. Business Administration majors must also select an area of concentration.

Accounting majors obtain a practical and theoretical knowledge of accounting fundamentals through structured studies in accounting, auditing, accounting information systems and taxation. The wide range of course offerings prepares students for career opportunities in public and private organizations.

 

The School of Business is Accredited by AACSB/The Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business.
