DEAN'S MESSAGE

Clark Atlanta University during its 20th year is filled with a spirit of renewal and expectation. Its mantra “Lead, Learn and Change” is evident as we welcome our third president, Dr. Carlton Brown. Change is everywhere, from the physical landscape of our campus to the bright new freshman that number more than 1200.

The School of Business marks its 77th year of providing undergraduate education and its 62nd year of MBA training. We are proud of our dual tradition and look forward to a bright future.

Over the years we have graduated more than 10,000 baccalaureates in business administration and over 3,000 MBAs. Our alums have been successful in all sectors of life; corporate, educational entrepreneurship, and public service. We wish to build on this success during the coming years.

For over seven decades, the School of Business Administration has provided a quality program of business management education for young men and women throughout the world. Our school has one of the largest pools of African American business students in the nation. Students are drawn from over 40 states and 30 countries to learn and grow at this national treasure, our School of Business.

Our School has produced and continues to graduate a large number of African American MBAs. Our undergraduate program is one of the top ten producers of African American business professionals in the nation. Our graduates enjoy leadership and management careers in public and private sector organizations throughout the world. We have also produced a substantial class of entrepreneurs who are providing jobs and services for the nation. Our faculty research and consult on the latest management techniques.
Our history is rich. Building on our heritage as we continue to educate the best and brightest, we will advance management education and broaden on horizons. We are committed to developing future leaders who will provide innovative solutions to global business challenges. Therefore, we will employ our intellectual, financial and physical resources to pursue the goal of becoming one of the premier business schools in the country with a ranking in the popular press "Top 25". This vision will require the concerted effort of the entire Business School family, to include faculty, Staff, students, alumni and our corporate partners. As we move towards this vision, I invite your input and help.

We will continue on our path of academic excellence and erect a foundation lasting for centuries to come. Join us as we continue a tradition and move to a new era of accomplishments, a journey to excellence.

Welcome to Clark Atlanta University and all we have to offer!

Lydia McKinley-Floyd
